A directory of US smog stations, sorted by what actually matters on inspection day.
Zerox24 is an independent directory of smog and emissions inspection stations across the United States. Every listing carries the public-facing inspection signals that decide whether a station can actually handle your renewal: STAR certification, test-only operation, no-appointment / walk-in availability, fast pass support, DMV renewal handoff, and diesel coverage.
The aim is narrow. If you're holding a renewal notice, you don't want a generic auto shop directory — you want to know which nearby station is STAR-certified (because the DMV flagged you for a STAR station), or which can take a walk-in tomorrow morning, or which actually does diesel. The directory leads with those answers and falls back to the rest only when the evidence isn't there.
We don't broker leads, take a cut, or schedule appointments — find a station, call the listed number, and go. Stations we couldn't pull much public detail on are shown as limited-evidence entries instead of being padded out with filler.
Our Editorial Team
The Zerox24 Smog Stations editorial team curates this directory, runs the public-source data pass, and writes each listing's call-prep notes. We do not take referral fees, do not place a thumb on which provider a reader picks, and do not accept paid review placement. Editorial decisions are made by the team, not by the businesses listed.
How We Evaluate Listings
Each listing on the site is scored on documented service signals, public-source evidence quality, and supporting context (city, regional factors, common failure modes). Listings without enough documented evidence are kept as limited-evidence listings or held out of the index.
Methodology Note
The page you are reading is editorial commentary — not paid placement. We update listings when public-source signals change, when a business reports a correction through the contact page, or when the public website goes offline.
